HYDRACALC

King Lee Technologies proprietary software, Hydracalc, accurately predicts dosing of our industry leading antiscalant products. The program calculates concentrate and permeate ion concentrations as a function of membrane type (BS, SW or NF) using default or user defined salt passage input as a function of recovery, ionic strength, temperature, and pH. Saturation indices are calculated for all sparingly soluble salt saturation potentials including silica and illustrated graphically (before and after control). Chemical usage and recommendations for CIP chemicals and antifoulants are also integrated into the antisclant dosing program.

Beyond the antiscalant chemical projection module, Hydracalc features a CIP calculator for determining the quantity of King Lee specialty cleaners needed for batch cleaning or by stage and a Pump, Dilution, Usage and Dosing Tank calculator. This module can configure pump settings based on a specified dosage rate, recommend dilutions based on pump size, calculate chemical usage and dosing tank refill frequency.

The antiscalant projection calculation section of Hydracalc uses raw reverse osmosis feedwater analysis data in combination with temperature, pH, salt rejection, fouling factor and total system recovery to calculate the concentrate which the membranes at the tail end of the system will be treating. This data is then fed into a number of complex logarithms based on the most up-to-date ASTM standards along with over 45 years of in-house and client, and field data to project the appropriate antiscalant at the required dosage to protect your membrane system.

The Clean-In-Place (CIP) Calculator helps determine the amount of King Lee specialty powder and liquid membrane cleaners needed to properly clean your membrane system. It is possible to calculate by a “batch” of pressure vessels or clean by stage.

The Pump, Dilution, Tank and Usage Calculator is a versatile tool which can calculate consumption rates of neat and diluted chemical, help you calculate appropriate dilution to fit your dosage pump, set dosage pump rates based on a specified dilution and determine time until the antiscalant tank will need to be refilled.
