DI Loop Cleaner Products

Do I have a “DI Loop”?

A DI Loop refers to any piping that carries good quality water. It originally referred to piping systems in pharmaceutical manufacturing or other businesses requiring a high quality water distribution system.

The DI stands for ‘de-ionized’ and refers to when high purity water was produced using DI columns. This high purity water was distributed to manufacturing areas. The unused water looped back to the DI columns to be re-purified in a continuous cycle.

Modern Membrane Systems and DI Loops

Modern high purity water systems have replaced DI columns with membrane systems but it continues to be necessary to keep the distribution piping clean from free-floating bacteria and the associated biofilms that protect bacteria colonies.

Microclean UHP

Microclean UHP

When you have a piping system that needs to be cleaned of bacteria and biofilm, Microclean UHP is the product to use. If you think about a pipe containing water, you will see a dark, wet, and sometimes stagnant environment that can be warm on occasion. To bacteria and other microorganisms (bugs) this is an ideal place to call home. Over time the bugs will, if unchecked, colonize the surface of the pipes and start to shred slime and other not so sanitary material into your water.

Microclean UHP is used by dialysis clinics to clean their distribution lines that carry reverse osmosis water to dialysis stations. It is also used by some membrane sites to insure their feed water supply and product lines are clean.

This product has a long track record and has worked at sites where no other product was effective.
